More than 150,000 children in 300 schools are participating. From each school, four students, two of them girls, and two teachers are trained in two-day workshops on child rights, in particular girls' rights, and global goals. They are equipped with materials and methods so that they can engage their schoolmates and spread knowledge to family and neighbors when they return home. Teachers gain knowledge about pedagogical methods that they can use in the classroom, and get information about how they can support the children in the implementation of the WCP program with YMER.

Ambassadors for girl's rights

Together with their friends and teachers, children carry out the World's Children's Prize program with You Me Equal Rights in their schools. Local leaders are also trained so that children and teachers can gain important support as they try to create change in their local communities: This increases overall respect for girls having the same rights as boys. The goal is that girls should no longer be married off early and forced to leave school, not be subjected to genital mutilation, not have to do all the housework, and have the right to have their say and be listened to.
